Return to Roseacre Wood site page
We’re committed to being a good neighbour and to engaging with local residents and community representatives. As part of this we established a Community Liaison Group (CLG) for the proposed exploration site at Roseacre Wood which ran from April 2014 until we brought our appeals in Summer 2015.
As the appeal outcome is not yet finalised, the Community Liaison Group has been put on hold until further notice.
The minutes of the Roseacre Wood CLG meetings can be found below:
Environment Agency Permits
In parallel with the planning applications, Cuadrilla submitted applications to the Environment Agency (EA) for the various environmental permits required for the proposed exploratory site:
• Installation Permit (this includes mining waste, groundwater and Industrial emissions permits);
• Radiological Substances Permit;
• Greenhouse Gas Permit;
• Flood Defence Consent.
These applications were submitted to the EA on 16th June 2014 for the Roseacre Wood site. The EA ran two separate public consultations as part of the process for determining the permits. The EA announced on 6th February 2015 that it had granted Cuadrilla the environmental permits for its proposed shale gas exploration site at Roseacre Wood.
You can view the environmental permits issued for the site here.
